What to expect from the Hillsborough Stadium crowd?

There’s no shortage of fans who say that the Owls followers bring plenty of enthusiasm and energy to all of their away games, but that support has left much to be desired at their own ground. Often muted and almost disinterested in what’s going on on the pitch, it can be a little boring, to be frank.

Of course, when the right game comes along with some attacking football or skilful play, the crowd will get going, but it’s definitely not every match.

In times past the atmosphere has been a bit muted at Hillsborough – which has had much to do with the teams lackluster performances on the pitch. However as the teams fortunes have picked up – as have the atmosphere inside the ground. With great results in the cup competitions as well as the league – the songs and chants have picked up and there is a real buzz inside the stadium these days!
