Beer is rather cheap, 0.4 liters are only 3.30€. They serve “Bitburger” which is alright, but not the best beer. If you want to go for food inside the stadium, you should definitely choose the traditional German “Bratwurst” which will cost you about 3.10€. A great thing if you’re planning to get tickets for the guest stances: You’re not required to purchase a stadium card, you can pay by cash. Everywhere else in the stadium you need the so-called “achtzehn99-Card”.

Having been built in 2009, the Rhein-Nechar Arena is one of the newest stadiums in Germany and thus has plenty of kiosks on the concourses for food and drinks so the queues are minimal which is always a big plus! The refreshments on offer are the standard German footballing food with plenty of Fries, Hot Dogs, Pretzels and Burgers. You can wash it down with an nice pint of Bitburger beer that you can bring to your seat and you can buy from the Bitburger Stall in the home end!

Beer is unimpressive, with a Bitburger setting you back an unusual price of €4.13. There was a cashless system in operation but thankfully the locals have seen sense and reintroduced cash sales at the many bars, so you can pick up your bratwurst in piece. That’ll cost you €3.10, by the way.
