How do I get to St Mary's Stadium?

There’s a handy shuttle bus which takes fans from the train station right up to the stadium, if you don’t fancy the 25-30 minute walk. Drivers could have a pretty rough time of it however, as there’s virtually zero parking at the stadium (for away fans, at least) and so parking in town becomes the next option. It’s £5 or so, and a 15-20 minute meander from the NCP car park, but can take up to an hour to leave afterwards as the road get crazy traffic.

If you are coming by train, the stadium can be a bit of a problem to get to. The station is about 1.5 miles away from St Mary’s and so if you don’t fancy the 30 minute walk (I don’t blame you), then you can either hop in a taxi – or take the 8A bus or the number 18, which will take you straight to the stadium for only a couple of pounds.

Parking around the ground can be a bit of a problem. However fans recommend the Marina Area – just a 10 minute walk to the stadium – you can get match day parking for £5. There is also a park and ride service available – if you’re coming down the M27, hop off at Junction 8 and follow the signs!
