If you’ve never been to motor racing, then you’ve never experienced a crowd quite like it. It’s not a sea of constant jeering or cheering, ebbing and flowing with the race. It’s more like excited, highly informed conversation between thoroughbred motoring fans. You discuss the ebbs and flows, rather than scream about them. When the car come hurtling by, it’s all adrenaline and excitement, then the bantering resumes until the next lap!

F1 races are a melting pot of nationalities, cultures and backgrounds – though all with one thing in common. Everyone here loves motorsport. For much of the race, you won’t see the cars until they roar past you, and so most people are glued to the big screens that dot the circuit. It isn’t a constant atmosphere like you get at football grounds with no songs and nowhere near the expletives, but the buzz is fantastic.
