Villa Park, Trinity Rd, Birmingham B6 6HE, UK
Villa Park is about as quirky as they come in English football, since the whole thing has been changed and rebuilt in the past few decades. As a team that used to spend every year in the Premier League, the 43,000 seater Villa Park is a little out of place in the bottom half of the Championship. However, what that really means is that you can attend a great stadium, with an excited crowd, for a totally reasonable price! Villa Park is gorgeous and traditional looking from the front, and a bizarre blend of styles once you get inside. Quite unique!
The first thing you think of when you see Villa Park is a fortress. One of the most interesting stadiums in the League, each of the 4 stands has its own design, and whilst there are new stands ensuring there are no bad views in the house – the open corners give a nostalgic feel to times gone by. Although the area around Villa Park is mostly impoverished – England’s second city, Birmingham is right on your doorstep – with restaurants, shopping and entertainment galore.
