What to expect from the Estadio Mendizorrotza crowd?

The crowd can ebb and flow a little, at least when compared to some other teams in La Liga. As a team that sometimes struggles for form, the enthusiasm and fight of the fans can die down a little, at times. However, that’s a minority and I don’t want to paint a false picture of most games! Generally the crowd really gets behind the lads on pitch and offers up a great wall of noise (amplified by the fully enclosed stadium and overhanging roof) which really gets the adrenaline flowing. Best of all, they’re a really friendly bunch of people!

Mendizorrotza stadium has a capacity of almost 32,000 people, so it’s not quite big. Usually you can enjoy here the match without too much inconvenience. For matches against Real Madrid, Barcelona FC or local teams (Athletic de Bilbao, Real Sociedad, etc.) you should expect crowds and loud stands. Anyway, like that is even funnier, isn’t it?
