While a lot of the Legia Warsaw fans are welcoming and are passionate about football, there have been a number of different unsavoury incident over the years involving certain members of the crowd. The Ultras section has been involved with fights, unsavoury chanting and banners over recent years, so you should avoid any confrontation with this set of fans.

Especially if it is a local derby, tensions will be high in the stadium so you need to have your wits about you at all times so you don’t get involved in any trouble. They sit mainly in the northern stand which is called Żyleta. This stand holds 7,477 fans and is behind one of the goals.

Warsaw’s team have been no stranger to silverware over the years and although they had a drop off from their usually high level from 2013-2016, they are back on winning ways, being regular title contenders and serial Champions League participants. As such, there is often an incredible atmosphere at the game and although there is an ultra faction, it is a very safe environment.
