Best insider tip for Gillette Stadium ?

As a New England Patriots Season Ticket Holder, I’ve figured out a few insider tips over the years.  The best advice that I can give you is to Tailgate both before and after the game.  Food and Drinks, especially “adult beverages” are extremely expensive at Gillette Stadium, and even in the surrounding restaurants located outside the stadium at Patriot Place.  You can defray the costs by consuming your own food and drinks before the game.  

The Tailgate scene is a great time, because you’re hanging out with friends, family, and other Football Fans.  Make sure to bring enough food and drinks for after the game as well.  If you try to leave immediately after the game, you will end up in traffic for well over an hour.  You might as well spend a few minutes setting up, and then enjoy the next hour eating and drinking instead of sitting in traffic.  

Most people that grab food before a Patriots game will gravitate towards CBS Scene – it is in the most high profile location and often featured on TV during games. My advice would be to skip it altogether and get your pre-game beer and burger at Toby Keith’s. The wait staff is significantly more friendly, the drinks are better priced and you won’t have to wait 45 minutes for a booth with a view of a TV. In addition to its terrific food (I recommend the Diablo Chicken Sandwich), Toby Keith’s also boasts a great open-concept layout that is more conducive to meeting and chatting with fellow Pats fans before, during or after the game. My best advice to anyone seeing a game at Gillette is to skip the overrated and overcrowded CBS Scene and instead, spend your time at Toby Keith’s, you will not be disappointed.
