Ask many locals where to go for dinner, and a lot of them will recommend L’Aubrac. Tricky to find on a small side street a little away from the main drag of Toulouse, L’Aubrac is worth finding. It’s a small place to do reserve a table, and indulge yourself with the charcuterie! The portions are very generous so come hungry!
Le Colombier is a fantastic restaurant who specialises in local Toulouse style food as well as broader styles of French cuisine. Despite the great food and quality, you can still get yourself a 3 course meal for just €22
Not the first thing you would associate with France – but there is a great burger joint in Toulouse! Burger and Co really hits the spot and won’t hit your wallet hard at all.

La trompette Rouge is the closest restaurant and brings good food on the table for a reasonable price. The food they offer is traditional food in a family-like atmosphere. La Cave au Cassoulet is a restaurant you cannot miss! It is serving one of the best cassoulet in the city and maybe even the country. The only disadvantage is that it is in the city center and going there will require a short walk.
