Despite being built in the 1920’s, the Fritz Walter Stadion underwent significant upgrades in advance of the 2006 World Cup and went on to host 5 matches. As a result the seating is really good, and all of the stands are self-supporting which means there are no pesky beams or pillars that block your view.
As usual, the main action areas are behind the goals with the area behind the East Goal, Standing Room only. Tickets here will cost you €12 for a standing spot or €20 for a seat behind the goal. There are cheap tickets in the upper tiers of the main stands though, and while the atmosphere may be a bit lacking here – the views are excellent, and for just €16, you can’t go wrong.

The stadium was modernized and renovated right before the FIFA World Championships in 2006. Since then, it fits 50,000 people which makes it one of the bigger stadiums in Germany. As the magic of the club has been lost over the last years, the stadium hardly ever fills up which is quite sad if you think about earlier times. Prices for the stances are 13€, sitting stands will cost you around 25€ if not going for the best categories. Overall, decent price situation! Visibility is great from everywhere as the stands themselves are pretty close to the pitch!

The seating really depends on what experience you are looking for. To go along the sides and get a good view of the match, you’ll pay anything from 17€ at the top to €41 at pitchside. Expect a nosebleed because of the altitude – the stadium is on a hill remember. That’s not really what FCK are about though: behind the Western goal is the second biggest terrace in Germany (behind Dortmund) with a capacity of over 15,000. Pay your €12 and take your place on there.
