Padua is an extremely old city, with monuments and history from the 13 th Century still on display around the town! The University District is a vibrant place and as you can imagine is full or bars, shops, restaurants and cafes where you could easily spend the day.
It might be hard to miss, but the towering St Anthony’s Basilica is definitely worth a closer look – do be aware though that you may not be able to take photographs inside the church though!
Venice is also just a 30 minute train ride away and is a fantastic place to base yourself or to have a day trip in!
