Spotting a 49er -San Francisco 49ers players were among the first to flock to Jersey Mike’s when the cult favorite opened last year. While many Californians hadn’t heard of the chain, pro football players were plenty familiar with these submarine sandwiches, having eaten at Jersey Mike’s in other NFL cities and college towns. They still come in frequently. And yes, they’re easy to spot, both by their size and their humongous sandwich orders. Remember to act cool: You don’t get to pester them for autographs. You only get to find out if they prefer mayo or oil and vinegar on their subs. Details: 3937 Rivermark Plaza. 408-477-2690.
