San Francisco has its Chinatown and Japantown, but Santa Clara has Koreatown. This stretch of El Camino Real near Lawrence Expressway is home to lots of Korean restaurants that win raves for their bulgogi, bibimbap, seafood pancakes — and their KFC, as in Korean-style fried chicken. The legs and wings are double-fried to create a super-crackly crust. Some of the chicken shops and full-menu eateries — including 99 Chicken, Gooyi Gooyi and Jang Mo Jip — are open until midnight or 2 a.m.

Looking for a pregame breakfast? At Stan’s Donut Shop in Santa Clara, Calif., 49ers doughnuts are a specialty. Stan’s Donut Shop has been turning out these huge, ethereal glazed doughnuts since 1959 — the year Red Hickey started coaching the Niners. It’s an old-school shop with old-school prices: 85 cents for a regular doughnut, $8 per dozen. There’s a line here most mornings, and on weekends it’s crazy long, but it moves quickly. Stan’s opens at 6 a.m. every day. Details: 2628 Homestead Road. 408-296-5982.

For high end eats there are two great options near the stadium: At Bradley Ogden’s Parcel 104, executive chef Jonathan Hall specializes in creative farm-to-table cuisine (at the Santa Clara Marriott, 2700 Mission College Blvd.). If you’re thinking steaks, chops and seafood, try Birk’s (3955 Freedom Circle), where Maurice Dissels is the executive chef.
