Best Food and Drink at Deepdale?

There’s sadly no draught lager or ale at Deepdale; not even the cheap stuff! There are bottles/cans of cheap lager/cider/bitter (well, cheap anywhere else!) at £3.50 each or a small bottle of wine at £4. There’s also tins of Guinness at £4, which isn’t too bad. For whatever reason, Deepdale wins the “best pie variety” competition, from what I’ve seen so far:

Meat & potato
Chicken Balti
Steak & Kidney
Potato & Butter

All for £2.80! You can get a ‘pint and a pie’ for £5.70 and the other classics like cheeseburgers and hot dogs are around £3.50.

Whilst the food at Deepdale is much of the same the footballing world over  -they do have cracking value, a good range and great deals to make sure you get bang for your buck!

Cheeseburgers and Hotdogs cost you £3.70 each which isn’t bad compared to other football grounds. However Deepdales magic lies in its pies. £2.80 will get you one of many pies for sale in the concourses – but while you are in Preston, you have to try their local specialty. The Butter Pie – a normal pie, but filled with very creamy and buttery mashed potato and onion. Sounds perfect!

Deals include: Pie, Peas and Gravy for £3.70, or a ‘Pie and a Pint’ for £5.70!

While the food is a typical range of football style grub – the range is actually fairly decent – with a few Deepdale quirks and deals.

The Pie selection is a good one, and the staples of Meat & Potato, Chicken Balti and Steak & Kidney are joined by the Potato and Butter Pie. This Preston creation is a pie, stuffed with buttery mashed potato and onions – fantastic and all pies are just £2.80.

There are also deals on food with a Pie, peas and gravy for £3.70 – and a pie and a pint for £5.70! Sounds like pretty good value to me!

There is of course alcoholic drinks on offer – though you will have to drink them in the concourses!
