Since I live in the suburbs, it’s easier to drive to Gillette Stadium then take the commuter rail. I also tailgate before and after Patriots games, so it’s much easier to have a car to transport all of the tailgate items. Parking at Gillette is expensive, typically $40/per car, however it’s worth it for the tailgate experience.

There is the train option for around $15 and then most people drive because they like to tailgate or come in large groups which make it more advantageous to drive rather than to pay for the train.

If you are coming from Providence or Boston, you can take a commuter rail to Foxborough for $15, which I highly recommend as it is rare to find parking for less than $20, and with your ride taken care of, feel free to indulge in an extra postgame beverage or two.
